Vibrating reed technique is a non-destructive method for determining the internal friction, adhesion coefficient and Young’s modulus of different functional materials. It consist in measuring the frequency of free vibrations of the sample excited into flexural vibrations and it requires relatively small deformation of the order of 10− 5.
